The 15-inch MacBook Air will likely be introduced with the new 13.6-inch MacBook Air in May during WWDC 2023.
One prominent market analyst has claimed that the 15-inch MacBook Air panel production began in February, increased in March, and will increase again this month. According to the source, the product will likely be introduced in late April/early May.
“Ross Young,” a prominent analyst of the display world, shared this information in a tweet. Yang previously said that the 15-inch MacBook Air would be announced in April, but that won’t happen. Given that Apple won’t hold an event in April, introducing such a product by releasing a statement seems illogical.
The possibility of introducing the 15-inch MacBook Air at WWDC
Considering that WWDC 2023 will be held in less than two months (June 15), it seems more logical to introduce the giant MacBook Air in history at this event. Therefore, we will face this product not in April and May but in June.
The new MacBook Air is expected to have a 15.5-inch display and will arrive alongside the new 13.6-inch MacBook Air. This product is placed between the 13.6-inch MacBook Air and the 16-inch MacBook Pro; Therefore, users can access a lighter, slimmer, and, of course, cheaper MacBook than the 16-inch MacBook Pro.
In terms of design, we expect the 15-inch MacBook Air to be no different from the MacBook Air M2.
We have yet to determine precisely what chip Apple will use for the giant MacBook Air. Cupertino can go for one of the chips in the M2 family or use the M3, The chip we expect to be announced at WWDC 2023.
The M3 chip said to be based on TSMC’s 3nm lithography, will be used in the new 13.6-inch MacBook Air. If Apple were to equip the 15-inch MacBook Air with the M2 Pro or Max, users would likely face a higher price tag than the M3.
