Elon Musk, the famous American investor, has made some interesting comments about the Dogecoin (DOGE) cryptocurrency with his 129.4 million followers on Twitter. He says he has abandoned Dogecoin.
The CEO of Twitter shared an image with this text on his Twitter account:

Elon Musk’s tweets are commonly known as his constant pranks on social media. He jokingly refers to the famous pop song Who Let the Dogs Out; The song, released by Junkanoo in 2000, won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Song the following year.
Musk is trying to use the famous song to make his point by claiming that he was the one who freed Dodge. However, he used the word Dodge instead of the word dog.
Musk’s contribution to the growth of Dogecoin
Musk has been one of the biggest supporters of Dogecoin for the past two years. In 2021, he contributed to a very impressive rally in the price of this cryptocurrency to the point where its value even reached $0.73. He started tweeting about cryptocurrencies to achieve his goal and described Dogecoin as a people’s crypto asset.
In addition to praising Dogecoin, Elon Musk has used the cryptocurrency as a payment method across companies he owns, including Tesla and SpaceX, and according to a report by TheCryptoBasic, the CEO of Twitter published an announcement in January 2022 about the possibility of purchasing some miscellaneous products made by Tesla with Dogecoin.
Musk recently jokingly named Dodge as Twitter’s new CEO. This investor gave this digital currency a second chance after the Twitter purchase was finalized and at the height of the cryptocurrency winter period, referring to the integration of Dodge as a payment method.
In October last year, Musk introduced the possibility of using Dogecoin among accepted payment methods. Tesla also launched the Cyberwhistle project in September 2022, which could only be purchased through Dogecoin.
