Noting Phone 2 against competitors

What does Noting Phone 2 have to say against competitors like Google Pixel 7?

After weeks of releasing posters and early information, Nothing has finally unveiled its second smartphone, the Nothing Phone 2. Compared to the Notting Phone 1, this phone has significantly improved and uses a much more powerful processor.

Noting Phone 2 is based on the same design language as the previous generation. We are still dealing with a device with exciting ribbons on the back panel and a dedicated user interface based on the Android operating system. The device’s body has been slightly rounded to make it easier to hold.

Noting Phone 2 has been hit with a price hike and has a more challenging job ahead of it. Unlike the previous generation, this phone will also be available in the US market.

Noting Phone 2 has competitors in the market, such as Pixel 7 and Motorola Edge 40. Even though the Galaxy A54 is in the Noting Phone 2 competitors category, Samsung’s popular mid-range has been launched at a lower price.

Google Pixels are incredibly smooth and offer the best Android operating system experience. On the other hand, Motorola phones are also launched with a good user interface.

Noting Phone 2 has a longer body than the previous generation but is generally considered a standard mobile phone. It’s longer than all its competitors and thicker than the Galaxy A54 and Motorola Edge 40 but slightly thinner than the Google Pixel 7. Of course, the difference between the thickness of these devices is not visible at all.

The weight of 201.2 grams makes the Nothing Phone 2 lighter than the Galaxy A54; That too in a small amount (one gram). Among the compared phones, the weight of Motorola Edge 40 is the lowest, and depending on the configuration, it reaches 167 to 171 grams.

Noting Phone 2 is a premium device; Therefore, using glass in the back panel does not surprise us. This phone has Gorilla Glass on the front panel and uses an aluminum frame.

Pixel 7 and Galaxy A54 also have glass on the back and front panels, but the Motorola Edge 40 is equipped with a plastic or leather panel. Using a glass panel on the Galaxy A54 is a big deal, especially considering that Samsung’s mid-ranger is significantly cheaper than the Note 2.

On the front, the Notting Phone 2 uses a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with a variable refresh rate of 120 Hz, 394 pixels per inch pixel density, and a 2,412 x 1,080 pixels resolution. The collection of the Notting Phone 2 has a brightness of 1,600 nits and displays HDR10+ content. The screen size of this phone is more significant than its competitors.

Among the competitors of Notting Phone 2, Motorola Edge 40 has the best performance in terms of display; Because it is equipped with a 144 Hz panel. The 6.55-inch P-OLED show of Motorola Edge 40 has almost the exact resolution as the Notting Phone 2, but its dimensions reach 6.55 inches. 1,200 nit brightness and display of HDR10+ contents are among the other features of this phone’s display.

The Google Pixel 7 uses a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with the exact resolution as the Notting Phone 2, But the refresh rate of this display is 90 Hz, and its brightness reaches 1,400 nits. The Samsung Galaxy A54 is launched with a 6.4-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and a brightness of 1,000 nits.

One of the significant generational improvements of the Notting Phone 2 is the use of a four-nanometer Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which was produced as Qualcomm’s mid-generation flagship. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 makes the Note Phone 2 stand out from its competitors. In the CPU unit, this processor is equipped with a central 3.0 GHz Cortex-X2 core, three 2.5 GHz Cortex-A710 middle cores, and four 1.8 GHz Cortex-A510 cores.

Google Pixel 7 is equipped with a Tensor G2 processor, a modified version of Samsung’s Exynos processors, and its performance does not disappoint. Motorola Edge 40 and Galaxy A54 are equipped with Dimensity 8020 and Exynos 1380, respectively.
Noting Phone 2 takes very high-quality pictures with two 50-megapixel cameras.

Notting Phone 2 has eight or 12 GB of RAM and a maximum of 512 GB of storage. Pixel 7, in the most powerful configuration, uses 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage memory, and this statement also applies to representatives of Motorola and Samsung. Of course, the Galaxy A54 also has a configuration with 6 GB of RAM.

All four compared phones have a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back panel; However, the number of cameras on the back of Galaxy A54 is more.

The Note Phone 2 also has a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and records 4K/60fps videos. The ultra-wide camera of the Google Pixel 7 uses a 12-megapixel sensor, and the ultra-wide camera of the Motorola Edge 40 uses a 13-megapixel sensor. The Pixel 7 records 4K/60fps video like the Note 2, but the frame rate of 4K Edge 40 videos reaches 30 fps.

Samsung Galaxy A54 has a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The phone cannot record 4K videos at 60 frames per second.

Noting Phone 2, Motorola Edge 40, and Galaxy A54 are equipped with 32-megapixel selfie cameras, which have some differences, but their overall performance is similar. Pixel 7 uses a 10.8-megapixel selfie camera.

Galaxy A54 has the most potent battery (5,000 mAh). The battery of this phone supports a power of 25 watts. Noting Phone 2 is equipped with a smaller battery (4,700 mAh), but this battery can be charged with a capacity of 45 watts.

Pixel 7 and Edge 40 use a 4,355 mAh 30W battery and a 4,400 mAh 68W battery, respectively. Edge 40 is the only phone among the compared devices that does not have reverse charging.

Notting has announced that he will launch his new phone for 679 euros. The price of the Pixel 7 is 649 euros, and the cost of the Edge 40 goes 599 euros. Galaxy A54 is considered the cheapest device, priced at 490 euros, and is more.
